KHS 2008 All Class Reunion
~General Meeting~
Called to order at 7:00 by President Pro-tem Bill McCollom. Officers present included Eva Hubbard, Angie Hall and Lynn Gillespie. Bill McCollom read the minutes; accepted as read.
Good of the Group:
We had a wonderful reunion!! What an exciting opening ceremony, the dignitaries looked so awesome getting out of the limo; it brought tears to our eyes. Miss Tri-cities was amazing! The fashion show was a hit, it was so neat to see the young folks all dressed up. The music line-up was wonderful. Gene, ya did good on the camping arrangements! It was truly a great day! Many, many people have said they really had a good time. We received lots of letters and thank you’s. We graciously accept your praise and the officers would also like to express gratitude to all the people that helped…. It could not have been done without the support of all you Lions!! A big “THANK YOU” from all of us!
Mr. Rupp (one of the dignitaries) gave a warm thank you to the ACR. He also told us he had a wonderful time in the limo, even though they did end up in Finley about 7 miles off course. A great time was had by one and all. It was nice to see his smiling face.
There was a 5 generation family that had reunited at the reunion. That’s what it’s all about!!
There is recognition to be awarded to our “honest” Lions, we had 2 incidents where large amounts of money was lost and returned. Thank you for showing your Lion pride!
Eva Hubbard read the financial report. Bills paid and the report was accepted as read.
Motion made to submit all bills or receipts within 30 days if a reimbursement is wanted. Motion seconded, none opposed, motion passed.
Public Relations Report:
Joyce Kinney spoke about the Lion YouTube clip done by Rick Riel. It is about 8 minutes long and extremely well done. Go look at it via our web-site, www.kennewickhigh.org
Joyce also spoke about a thank you ad to be placed in the newspaper. A motion was made to pay for the ad. Motion passed, none opposed.
New Business:
A motion was made by Jim Bateman to form a NEW association. Motion passed, none opposed.
What this entails is that we are going to form an actual Kennewick High School Alumni Association. It will have new officers and the e-board will consist of 1 person from each decade. If you are interested in being on this board, please contact the secretary of the ACR via the web-site www.kennewickhigh.org or any officers or your class POC. We are in the process of starting a “draft group” in which Cliff Ledford has volunteered to be the lead. He is going to draft the by-laws. We will have lawyers look this process over. The current officers duties are about over and they will turn everything over to the new KHS Alumni. This process will take a few months. What an exciting time! If you have any input please contact the ACR.
The Historical Society has offered to store some of our ACR items for future use. Space is limited, so please talk to them and let them know what you’d like to store. Thank you Historical Society!!
We are hoping that we can have a central place to check out items for Class reunions. We will let you know more about that in the future.
Old Business:
Debra Blum has contacted Bill McCollum and has asked for about $500.00 in re-imbursement. There is an on-going investigation as to whether we owe it to her; she has had plenty of time to submit her receipts, which she hasn’t. We will have a conclusion on this hopefully soon.
*Veterans Page being updated with many alumni requesting to be added. Please contact the webmaster with any information about our Veterans.

*The Myspace website for Lions is www.myspace.com (kennewickhighalumni)
