KHS 2008 All Class Reunion
~General Meeting~
Called to order at 7:05 by President Joe Byrne. Officers present included Bill McCollom, Eva Hubbard, Angie Hall and Lynn Gillespie.
Good of the Group:
Many alumni have passed on. We are so sorry for the losses of the loved ones and send our deepest sympathy out to all the families. We have tried to list the names on the web-site, so if you wish, please contact the webmaster and they will update it. Thank you and God Bless!
Bill McCollom read the minutes; accepted as read.
Eva Hubbard read the financial report. Bills paid and the report was accepted as read.
Committee Reports:
Public Relations Report:
The new posters are out and they look GREAT!! Contact any of the PR committee folks to get them. Also the committee attended a Kennewick Downtown meeting today. The businesses downtown are excited about Friday the 20th and will have great deals on food and drink.
Entertainment Committee Report: For the fashion show, it has been asked if you have ANY type of clothes from your era…PLEASE call Kathi Kersey @ 586-6666 or Karen says: My models will present them as part of the live Fashion Show at the June 21st 100 Year Reunion. I would particularly love any school/sports clothes and lion memorabilia. All sizes wanted. Call Karen at 582-2732 or email schweet4@charter.net. You can contact her at the Roxy Theatre,101 Kennewick Avenue, also. She can borrow or buy.

Website Report:
*Veterans Page being updated with many alumni requesting to be added. Please contact the webmaster with any information about our Veterans.
*New ACR Events and Activities page is done.
Volunteer help:
Debbie Stevens is the coordinator. Her number is # 396-4608, # 586-2243. Please call her if you would like to volunteer or if you need volunteer help.

Old Business:
*T-shirts and sweat shirts are still available.
*BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW campaign is ongoing. Internet tickets are still available until June 15th. Local ticket outlets are still available. (Ranch and Home, Roxy, Ron’s Foodmart)
*Please make sure the tickets are filled out legibly, they also need to have the maiden names on them. We have no way of finding people without their maiden names. Thank you!
*The Myspace website for Lions is www.myspace.com (kennewickhighalumni)
*After the 30th of May, expect them at will-call.
New Business:
*Pre-printed name tags can be picked up at YOUR Class Building for people that have paid before May 30th. Otherwise the plastic covers will be at the at the entrance booths to the fairgrounds.
*The Schedule of Events for the ACR is posted on the web-site!! The opening ceremony on Friday is downtown Friday at the Flag Plaza, and about 4:30 – 5:00 pm it will begin. On Saturday the opening ceremony will be about 11:15 am at the old Pepsi Stage at the fairgrounds. Thank you again Charlene McCormick for organizing these events…. They look Grand!!
*We got to see the “Lion” water, they are awesome!! They are going to sell for $1.00. Buy a case and pass them around to your friends and co-workers… (good advertising)
*Some Alumni ran into Victor Rodger and Bob Rupp- The gentlemen were deeply gratuitous about the ACR Reunion, the Alumni felt this should be expressed.
*CAMPERS: need to go to the West Gate to get in. Please have your tickets with you.
*Motion made and passed to refund camp fees if alumni is unable to attend.
*Motion made and passed to NOT refund ticket monies. 4 opposed.
*Discussion about having an area for the Elderly to park closer. We hope to have an area designated. Please look for the signs to direct you to this area.
*The Fashion show will begin about 3:00pm in building #4 (70’s & 80’s building). Keep watch for it! It will be fun to see.
*On Saturday the 21st the “100 year Lion” plaque will be presented to the school. Bob Woehler will be presenting this for us.
*We had distinguished guests amongst us; they were 2 of the original “Mad Hatters” from 1957. This was a nice surprise!
Meeting adjourned at 9:11pm.
Next meeting is June 12th 7:00pm at the Lutheran church off highway 395.
