KHS 2008 All Class Reunion
~General Meeting~


Called to order at 7:04 by President Joe Byrne. Officers present included Bill McCollom, Eva Hubbard, Angie Hall and Lynn Gillespie.

Guest Speaker:
Mary Stultz has brought to the group a proposition that a memorial be placed some where on KHS school grounds, a stone or a plaque in regards to the 100 years of Lion Pride. Bob Woehller of Kennewick Man of the Year Club has offered to donate the funds to pay for this memorial.

Good of the Group:
We lost many good people this past month. We wish to pay our respects to the loved ones. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all the families. Daniel Joseph Yeager, class 1966, passed 03/23/08: Bonnie McReynolds Olson, class of 1944, passed 03/17/08. We are sorry we have missed some people, please let Joe Byrne know if you’d like anyone listed for the next minutes.

Meeting Changes: We are going to meet every other Thursday of the month until the reunion is over. New dates are May 1st, May 15th, May 29th, June 12th.

Happy Birthday!! To: Ruth, Eva, Angie and Glenna.

Bill McCollom read the minutes of the last meeting. Approved as read with some minor changes. Eva Hubbard gave the financial report. Motion made to pay outstanding bills, motion passed. The balance in the bank is $21,192.86

Don’t forget about the website called myspace.com/kennwickhighalumni. This is a great way to chat and find old class mates! Our own web-site is www.kennewickhigh.org E-mail Anji Pickard with any questions about the web-sites.

A big “thank you” to Michael Rastovich, class 71’. He has made the new poster for the ACR. In kindness he has donated many hours. His business is www.rastovision.com

Committee Reports:
Public Relations Report:
Joyce Kenney has reported and followed up on several ads for the ACR Reunion. Look for the ads in the Giant Nickel, Tri-City Herald, Lions Roar and the Country Register. New posters are available.

KHS receptionists/secretaries have been given the OK and the information to help them with any questions about the Reunion they may receive.

GAP Media will begin their advertising with the 40 tickets used as contest prizes…SO listen up and WIN!! “High School Memories” will be the theme.

Sponsor packets are still available: HAPO bought one for $3000.00, ZIPS, Lampson and the class of 1965 all bought sponsor packets as well. Please contact the PR committee if you would like to help promote these packets.
Ranch & Home, Roxy Antiques and Ron’s Food Mart have offered to be a distributor of tickets.

Thank you again PR committee, you have worked hard and done well!

Entertainment Committee Report:
No changes. Lee Ford has the agenda all lined out.

Events:
Joetta Rupert has informed us of the “Show and Shine” May 9th and 10th in Kennewick, 200 goodie bags with information about the Reunion will go out at this event. Get out there and show your support!

Memorabilia:
No changes.

Volunteer help:
Debbie Stevens is the coordinator. Her number is # 396-4608, # 586-2243. Please call her if you or anyone you know would like to volunteer in any capacity, or if you need volunteer help, call her she has a list of helpers.

Camping questions contact Gene Spaulding.

Old Business:
*Fever Football this Sat May 3rd @ 7:00pm, come and buy a raffle ticket, all proceeds go to the ACR.
*T-shirts and sweat shirts still available.
*BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW! Campaign is ongoing. Internet tickets are easy to buy, encourage everyone you know to buy them on-line!

New Business:
*Motion made to make one last mailing of approximately 6000 postcards. Motion passed- 2 opposed.
*Be sure to check the PICTURE schedule on the web-site, some changes have been made.
*“Lion Water” has been donated by John Bunch and Jim Beaver to be sold for a $1 at the Reunion…..Thank You!
*April 30th and May 14th, we are going to tour the fairgrounds @ 6:30pm. Come along if you can!
* You can have a packet of tickets assigned to you. Sell, Sell, Sell!!!! Eva Hubbard has this list.

Next meeting is May 1st at 7:00pm at the Lutheran church off highway 395.
