KHS 2008 All Class Reunion
-General Meeting-
Called to order at 7:05 by President Joe Byrne. Officers present included Bill McCollom, Eva Hubbard, Lynn Gillespie.
There was no Good of the Group to report.
Bill McCollom read the minutes of the last meeting. Approved as read with some changes. We gave a $50.00 gift certificate from Ice Harbor to Art and Pat Hinkley for the use of their boat in the boat parade.
Eve Hubbard gave the financial report. We paid outstanding bills. The balance in the bank is $14,334.66. Approval given for the reimbursement of printing costs, $61.31.
We had a guest from the Class of 2008. Karen had tickets for sale; they are raising money for their Senior Class Party. They are having an Italian dinner at the high school. March 8th 5pm-8pm. Cost is $5.00/person or $20.00/family of 5. Please call her at 582-5908 for tickets.
Reminder: Please go to the businesses with the posters in them and repost. After 30 days some businesses take them down. Also Dottie Aman could use some help to pass them out. Please call her with any help you can offer.
Joe Byrne contacted American West Bank to apply for a PSA (public service announcement). Art Blum is the contact for us at the stations KONA and KEPR.
Anji has informed us of our URL at MySpace: myspace.com/kennwickhighalumni. This is a great way to chat and find old class mates! Thanks Anji for setting this up. There are already 203 friends as alumni getting in touch with each other!
Our own web-site www.kennewickhigh.org has had 1,016,079 hits since 12-02-07. The mass e-mail link is working on the web-site now.
A motion was made to order a bulk of shirts. Motion passed. We will have on hand 5 3XL, 20 2XL, 50XL, 20L, 20M, 10S. So let’s get these sold! Sell! Sell! Sell!
Also a motion made to raffle off a shirt at each public event. Motion passed.
Sara has offered to help promote selling the shirts, please call her at 582-6287.
At First Night they had a great time! Glenna, Jean, Dottie, Joe, Bill, Kathy and Joetta volunteered their time. Thank you!
We have asked for volunteers to sit at any Kennewick High games. Please contact the ACR if you can help out. We currently have a table at the basketball games.
We are going to have a 50/50 raffle at the May 3rd FEVER game. If you would like to help out please contact Angie Hall at 735-7273.
We discussed how to organize ticket sales. Eva has offered to help with that. There will be more discussion at the next meeting about ticket sales. Lynn Gillespie has 1,000 ticket applications.
There is some talk that the owner of Sun-marts will help us in March, maybe tickets to be sold at his stores. Bill McCollom has talked to him. Thanks Bill!
It was discussed that the decade POC’s need to begin meeting regularly to define decorations and get active participation.
We need volunteers……ask any Lion you know to help…they may just say “YES”

Next meeting is February 21st at 7:00pm at the Lutheran church off highway 395.
Agenda Meeting will be February 7th at 7:00pm at the church also.
