KHS 2008 All Class Reunion
– General Meeting –
April 19, 2007
The meeting was called to order by Joe Byrne at 7:02. Officers present were Bill McCollom, Eva Hubbard, Dee Yeager and Ruth Locati. There were 22 members present.
Dottie Aman read For the Good of the Group. Bill McCollom read the minutes; accepted without amendment. Joe Byrne gave the balance in the ACR checking account.
Joe reported Marlayne Kufahl has stepped down as treasurer. Eva Hubbard will take her place.
Joyce Kenney, PR Chairperson, reported she has sent PSAs to local TV and radio stations to be place on their community calendars. Giant Nickel said they will run a PSA as space is available. Also contacted were Charter Communications and the Tri-City Herald. Post card size announcements were placed on announcement boards in various grocery stores. The Book Worm was contacted regarding putting up a poster announcing the ACR.
Bill McCollom made a motion that we give a stuffed lion and a $50.00 gift certificate to anyone who sells 10 or more web ad contracts. Dan Yeager seconded – passed.
Anji Pickard reported cafepress suffered a glitch and all dark colored products were pulled until it could be fixed. Anji also gave the amount of profit made to date from the online store. Dan Yeager reported all 18,390 names in the rosters have been changed back to title case. Dee Yeager reported the online ticket sales are ready to go public. The holdup is the ability to accept credit cards.
Dottie Aman made a motion that each class be allowed to send out informational post cards to those without email addresses. Glenna Russert seconded - passed. Ruth Locati will head up the effort for the 30’s 40’s and part of the 50’s.
Gene Spaulding suggested musical entertainment could be provided by the Benton County music teachers. Marleen Hazen suggested doing slide shows and having a search light. Jerry Sleater said if we want to have a Bonfire the EPA would have to be contacted.
Sarah Garth suggested having everything at the fairgrounds. Events suggested were a school tour, city tour by bus and a tour of downtown Kennewick.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00
The next meeting will be May 17th at 7:00 P.M., First Lutheran Church.
