KHS 2008 All Class Reunion
– General Meeting –

March 15, 2007

The meeting was called to order by Joe Byrne at 7:02. Officers present were Lynn Gillespie, Bill McCollom, Marlayne Kufahl, Dee Yeager and Ruth Locati. There were 22 members present.

Dee Yeager read For the Good of the Group. Ann VanCleave read the minutes; accepted without amendment. Marlayne Kufahl gave the Financial Report, accepted without amendment.

Dee Yeager reported we can have a permanent meeting place at the First Lutheran Church on Yelm. Dan Yeager made a motion that we make the First Lutheran Church our meeting place, seconded by Bill McCollom - passed.

Dee reported Dave Drollinger wishes to step down from the various committees he chairs but will stay on as POC for 1969.

Marlayne reported she has been in contact with two bands that play music from all eras; Retread and Cheap Thrills. Dave Garrett will check on pony rides. Jumping houses, dunk tank and a petting zoo were also suggested.

Anji Pickard suggested the Young Marines might be a source of help during the ACR. Lynn Gillespie will talk to his contact at Sports Page regarding waitresses for the Beer Garden.

Anji described the items available on the ACR online store. In one month the ACR has made $73.95 from sales without advertising the site. Dan Yeager made a motion to reimburse Anji for the yearly cost plus one month, of the online store; seconded by Ruth Locati - passed.

Ruth Locati reported the post office charges $160.00 setup fee for bulk mailing, $160.00 a year user fee, plus postage. Ruth’s contact suggested this was not the way for us to go.

Joyce Kenney suggested an acknowledgement and/or gift for oldest attendee and for furthest traveled to the All Class Reunion.

Friday night events were discussed. Marleen Hazen suggested we do something at the fairgrounds. Lynn Gillespie will talk to Gary Hall to see what the Downtown Association can offer.

Meeting adjourned at 8:58

The next meeting will be April 19th at 7:00 P.M., First Lutheran Church on Yelm.

Respectfully Submitted,
Dee Yeager
Secretary 2008 KHS ACR
